Set in the tranquility of the African bush, you’ll be staying within the 6000 hectares of a Big 5 game reserve, where you’ll carry out valuable volunteer work to help protect the land and wildlife. Located on South Africa’s famous Garden Route, you’ll get to enjoy the rich biodiversity of your surroundings, as well as providing important support to the reserve’s team of conservation experts.
Be part of a team, and make lifelong friends. Staying at one of the two backpacker lodges on site, enjoy the accommodation’s facilities in your downtime, and at weekends will be provided with transfers and accommodation in surrounding towns to offer you the opportunity to explore African life outside of the reserve.
Working as ‘assistant conservation managers’ you will contribute towards the overall quality of the reserve and data that you collect will actually be utilized by management to help make important conservation decisions that impact the environment. So you can be assured that you are making a difference in the lives of our precious animals.
