Volunteer, train and travel on a malaria-free Big 5 reserve.
Taking a gap year? Kwantu Private Game Reserve in South Africa’s Eastern Cape lets you combine real conservation work, new skills and unforgettable wildlife experiences, with everything organised for you, from airport transfers to meals and accommodation.
You live with other volunteers from around the world in single-sex volunteer dorms, with three meals a day served at the Mafusa dining area. Weekdays are spent working with our coordinators; weekends are free, with an optional excursion to Gqeberha. Kwantu is a strictly non-alcoholic environment for volunteers.
Please note: there is no animal interaction at Kwantu. Volunteers do not touch, feed or handle any animals, and there is no hunting on the reserve.
