Two ways to spend your gap year at Kwantu

Life at Kwantu

You live with other volunteers from around the world in single-sex volunteer dorms, with three meals a day served at the Mafusa dining area. Weekdays are spent working with our coordinators; weekends are free, with an optional excursion to Gqeberha. Kwantu is a strictly non-alcoholic environment for volunteers.

Please note: there is no animal interaction at Kwantu. Volunteers do not touch, feed or handle any animals, and there is no hunting on the reserve.

“The Kwantu experience is absolutely amazing. I have not regretted a single second of my trip. It is hard work, but I feel great at the end of the day.”— Ali, England
